5/9/2018 0 Comments What's on your Smartphone?TechnologyThere’s an app for everything. What’s the most unusual one that you’ve installed? I have the usual ones. A USAA app that allows me to do all my banking without ever visiting a bank. Also, my Visa is stored in an app that I can use to pay for purchases if my merchant has the right kind of device at the checkout counter. Of course, I have Waze to guide me to new locations. I also use it even when I know where I’m going just to provide warnings about things like speed traps, traffic jams, debris in the road, etc. There are apps to control my entertainment center (Logitech Harmony Hub) and my thermostat (Nest). Let’s not forget my social media apps for RallyPoint, Facebook, MeWe, and Instagram. There’re useful things like a calendar and a calculator. I also have the MyFitnessPal app for recording my food intake and exercise. To pass time I have the StumbleUpon app and a couple of games. (There are a few more games my granddaughters sneaked on when they “borrowed” my smartphone). For news I have the Reuters TV app. Nothing unusual in all this, is there?
