Book 3 in The Nick Andrews Series
|
Now available in ebook and soon in paperback on AmazonTwo yachts race to opposite ends of Cuba but their passengers will meet in revolution. One carries the radical lawyer Castro and his loyal Fidelistas. The other a wealthy American plantation owner and her husband, niece, and nephew, and is crewed by Hemmingway's "Boat Boy" and an American spy. The spy, Nick Andrews, intends to use the influence of the plantation owner to gain access to the halls of power in Havana, and his wits to infiltrate Castro's ranks. His mission is to help the Senate Foreign Relations Committee unravel the diplomatic mess presided over by the Eisenhower Administration. There will be obstacles, high adventure and romance as well as the American CIA and the Mafia all attempting to thwart his every move. And if that isn't enough to insure failure, Nick lacks official sanction. His Army commanders didn't provide any and the Senate Committee Chair can't. Nick must tread carefully. The Army as well as the other military branches are closing their spy offices and transferring their last operatives to the CIA, and Nick may not be accepted by the agency if he is caught meddling in their business. Then again, it's not clear he wants to transfer.
