Oh-dark-thirty
To be honest, that's not the point of this essay.
It's just this. English (or at least the American version of English) can be confusing.
After explaining the joke to my wife (she wasn't born to the faith), I mentioned that I was proud of myself for getting it so quickly.
There. Did you see that?
That's my problem.
No, I didn't forget anything. I got it. Get it?
Confused.
Follow me. I'm confused a lot at this age. And, I'm infamous for forgetting things.
There it is again.
There's little problem deciphering the meaning of the phrase when it appears in writing, but say it aloud (and pay attention to how it sounds), and you'll get my drift.
“For get” vs. “Forget”
A space between words is a tiny thing but it creates an abyss in communication, doesn't it?
What's my point?
Be patient with old people.
We amuse ourselves in the strangest ways...
What sound does Princess Leia's blaster make? "Pew! Pew!"
